Back in the days when Scum hit the streets, I was 14 — too young to understand the chaos of the world, but just old enough to recognize the sound of pure sonic warfare. From the first spin, Napalm Death’s raw, unfiltered violence became a permanent fixture in my bloodstream. That energy has been with me ever since, through every stage dive, every ear-ringing morning-after.
So to see them again at Party.San Metal Open Air was like stepping into a war zone I already knew by heart. And oh hell, they did not disappoint. Thursday night in Schlotheim, the crowd was rabid, the air thick with sweat and adrenaline, the space in front of the stage crammed so tight you could barely breathe — and yet no one wanted to be anywhere else.
Mark “Barney” Greenway seems immune to time. I’ve seen him obliterate stages all across the continent, and here he was again, a human wrecking ball of fury and conviction. Napalm tore through Scum, blasted chunks of Harmony Corruption, and filled the gaps with a righteous sermon: diversity, equality, and a very direct middle finger to the Nazi punks.
And I’ll close this with one quote from Mr. Greenway that night — loud, clear, and aimed right between the eyes:
“Fick die AfD.”
